Noach

Genesis: 6-12 Ellen Miller Braun has created a whimsically colorful display of Noah's Ark: Accompanied by the arching rainbow and dove, riding high on the water spout of two frolicking whales, is Noah in the ark and a cast of creatures large and small. The animals boarded the ark two by two: one male, one female of each "kind" - except for the "clean" animals, of which there were seven males and seven females.

In her lively rendition, Ellen repeats the Torah Portion, Noah, Genesis: 6-12, seven times. The seven repetitions of the portion represent the sets of seven "clean" animals saved from the flood. The seven repetitions also symbolize the seven Noahide laws that were established after the flood.

This exquisite creation is a delight for children and the child in each and every one of us.
